Fitness is available to everyone regardless of gender, size, age, physical skill, or athletic ability.

According to U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), childhood obesity has more than doubled in the last twenty years among kids 6 to 11 years old.  Childhood obesity presents a number of health risk factors for kids including diabetes and poor self esteem which may lead to depression.

Over 80% of our children do not eat a balanced, healthy diet.  Not getting the necessary nutrients can affect how well your child does in school.  Healthy eating and excercise can positively affect a child’s academic achievement, brain development and school attendance.

The Fit-Is-It Program focuses on coordinating exercise and nutrition.  This is critical to positively impacting children’s knowledge and behavior.

The Fit-Is-It Program demonstrates that behaviors such as eating foods high in saturated fat and physical inactivity can be changed.  A sedentary lifestyle is one of the top risk factors for heart disease.  Aerobic exercise has many benefits for hearts, including strengthening the heart and lungs as well as improving the body's ability to use oxygen.

By teaching children that eating helthy and being physically active every day can be fun, the Fit-Is-It program helps to establish healthy lifestyle habits that can last into adulthood.

This program is designed to put children into action.
